New Crochet... Things

I'm trying to get two crochet things done before Christmas... I'm NOT sure it's gonna happen! One is for my sister in law who has never been the recipient of any of my crochet stuff. I truly think that the other family members are a bit tired of my yarnage! So I'm making a lapghan for her using a pattern called "Brain Dead Afghan" (mostly because it's one set of stitches, over... and over... and OVER...). This is what it looks like:
I'm hoping to get some time to work on it; probably the only time I'll be able to will be when Jen's at dance class and I'm waiting in the car for her. The other thing I'm working on is for me; I can't remember ever making anything for myself, so I thought I'd try this Chevron Cardigan pattern out. I have some lovely dark teal yarn I'm using for it; it's nice and soft but quite slippery, making for a lot of swearing while working with it! Here's a picture of the cardigan when it's complete:

I guess if this one isn't done by Christmas it's not a big deal :) I'm also going to make some crocheted pine cones and a couple of hot-pads that I found a beautiful pattern for, for mom's house for the holidays.

New to Blogging...

So yeah... never really blogged anything before. If anyone reads this, be warned: I have a love of multiple punctuation for some reason. I think it makes my words translate themselves more appropriately in people's heads, or something.

Anyway, basically what I do (other than cater to the whims of my family) is crochet and computer-generated "artwork" (for lack of a better word) using the programs Poser and Photoshop. I suppose I'll post things here as they're completed, which doesn't happen often, heh.

I do have a deviantart.com site where I've posted some of the stuff I've created. It's located here: http://macarthurfamily.deviantart.com/. I had had an account just for my crocheting, but I'll be darned if I remember any info on that...

Currently I'm working on a lapghan for my sister-in-law for Christmas, and a vest for me. Kind of interchanging so I don't get too bored with one or the other...

Okay! That's all for now (break's over!) but I'll be back, I hope!
